PURGEM 2000™ is a program to help manage large drawing archives in AutoCAD™ Ver. 12 and up. This AutoCAD™ purge program also functions with AutoCAD™ LT. It will allow you to batch purge an entire file folder of AutoCAD™ drawings. The process is automatic, so you don't have to know how to create a script file or to manually open every drawing and go through the time consuming purging process.

In today's fast-paced design industry not every one has the time to follow good drafting practices. This is why PURGEM 2000 was written. It has the time, when you do not, to batch purge AutoCAD drawings, allowing you to do other daily routines not related to AutoCAD™. This program will easily save you the purchase price and hopefully give you back some valuable hard drive space during it's first run. It will also allow drawings to open faster when they no longer have the unused items attached to them. It purges all unused items, including blocks, line types, dimension styles and so on.

This program can be run at times when your archive server is at it's quietest, as open drawings and drawing locks (.dwk) will cause a script to halt waiting for user input. So it is a good idea to clean out all .dwk files. Don't worry if you want to purge files across a network. The ability to map and un-map drives is built into the program. All you need is WRITE permission to the networked drive. Don't worry if you have a complicated directory structure setup. PURGEM 2000 is capable of punching down into the subdirectories and processing those files also. Do you have a catalog of older AutoCAD™ drawings that you would like to have the thumbnail preview on? PURGEM 2000 is your answer. Don't worry about altering the file date and time of your files. A unique feature of PURGEM 2000 is its ability to reset the file date and times back to their pre-purged values.
